Storm Quarrels

Storm Quarrels

Two lovers quarrel outside my window.  The rain beats down demanding to know where the wind was. The wind getting an occasional word in, tries to explain. As the rain beats down harder, the wind’s intensity picks up. They each try desperately to get the other’s attention; trying to over power the other. How dare you? The rain says. Who are you talking to? The wind responds; a constant bicker going back and forth.  The rain, the wind, the rain, the wind.

OFFENSE AND TRUTH

“If an offense come out of the truth, better is it that the offense come than that the truth be concealed.”
― Thomas Hardy, Tess of the D'Urbervilles

Thomas Hardy Quote

“The purpose of a chronicler of moods and deeds does not require him to express his personal views upon the grave controversy above given.”

Movement

Movement

I sit now trying to figure this out
How do I describe the feeling I feel?
There it is again: maybe a kick or punch
(or is it just gas?)

Now my stomach does a flip and a flop
(or is he just being an acrobat?)
A quick move to the left, or maybe the right
Again another flip and another flop

People ask...Have you felt him yet?
How do I know, I say, I think so
I still wonder what am I supposed to feel?

Is it like popcorn popping?
Or like a flutter of a butterfly wing?
How about a flick of a finger?
How do I describe this indescribable feeling?
